Sedona
The clients fell in love with the spectacular mountain, canyon and golf course views from the top of a rocky knoll near Sedona, Arizona. They purchased the lot and requested a home design to maximize views, provide unique and luxurious guest suites, and a ‘red rock’ color palette to reflect the beautiful setting.
The bi-level home, guest casita and pool cabana all display exquisite finishes with natural elements – stone, metal, and exotic woods. We also designed unique custom furniture, hand-made rugs, carved theater doors, custom light fixtures and many other specialty elements. Some pieces, such as the petrified wood/bristlecone pine coffee table were sourced from specialty vendors.
The main level has a massive octagonal Great Room which features 360 degree views of a golf course, canyons and mountains. The lower level includes guest suites, a game room, fitness room, and spa. Solid mahogany doors, carved with Arizona desert scenes, slide open to reveal the enormous home theater and golf simulator. A fully functionning guest casita offers visitors a living room, kitchen, laundry and priovate spa. Indoor-outdoor living is epitomized by the pocketing glass doors of the pool cabana. Offering a lounge, locker rooms full kitchen and BBQ, the pool house overlooks an Olympic length poll with a negative edge that literally goes over the cliff. The adjacent spa has golf course and canyon views which make it the perfect spot to enjoy a sunny Arizona day.
